2021 AFL Indigenous Player Guernsey
Please note: All 2021 player-issued guernseys are being auctioned. Guernseys will be match worn if a player is selected in either Round 11 or 12.
Carlton's 2021 Indigenous guernsey was designed by Gunditjmara woman and artist Laura Thompson. The design recognises the diversity of the Club's seven Indigenous players, honouring their cultural identity, families and the Country to which they belong. The campfires on the shoulders of the guernsey are a tribute to the entire Carlton family, signifying the broader playing group, staff, members and supporters all uniting together and proud to be part of the Navy Blue. This guernsey also pays respect to the Traditional Custodians of the land on which the Carlton Football Club is located, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. To signify Wurundjeri Country, along the sides of the jumper is a design representative of the Yarra River, also known as Birrarung, which has great cultural and spiritual relevance to the Wurundjeri people and the neighbouring nations.
